This might not be the right forum but at least hopefully someone can help go in the right direction.

I have a TH-50PZ80U and I would like to get a BLU-RAY for it. The only problem is that I do not see a Dolby Digital decoder on it so I'm afraid that when I play movies it won't be able to transmit audio signal to my receiver.

help?

Your player, in addition to an HDMI output which would go to the Plasma for the HD Video signal should certainly have a TOS Link or Coaxial Digital Out, through which connection to your A/V receiver will enable Digital audio.

I believe this is what you are asking about. If not, please clarify.

Let the PS3 handle all on encoding/decoding. My PS3 handlles is all.
