Hi lobudgt,

Thank you for your interest in TweakTV. While we don’t have your exact model in our data base, you do have the User Menu settings for a model that is similar to yours. Try them at the link below, and let us know if you see any improvement. You may want to raise the contrast by 4-5 clicks to increase the light output for your larger screen size.

Thanks for your advice to check the other similar TV model. I tried the exact calibration, and then tried the minor change you thought might be of benefit too. I largely ended up going back to where I was before. I am interested to understand the thinking behind some of the choices made in that calibration. I see that these calibrations are for digital HDMI inputs from cable or satellite video sources. I am wondering if that eliminates my input, as I only have either Dish Network standard coaxial or RCA type inputs available. Do I need an HD set top box from Dish to gain an HDMI output directly from the set top box? I know what is getting to my TV now is an analog signal, as cable and satellite providers convert from digital back to analog in their boxes. Are the calibrations found here for digital and HD inputs only? If so, that would help explain why my personal settings are not very close to the ones for which you provided me the link. I do have one more specific question about that calibration. What is the reasoning behind turning the 120hz feature off? Are these calibrations meant for non fast action movies and TV? Does anyone here ever discuss settings for other purposes, such as gaming?
