WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE OPTIMAL SETTINGS FOR MY TV COLD NOT FIND IT ON THE LIST. I HAVE A BLU RAY PLAYER, XBOX 360, AND DISHNETWORK HD DVR HOOKED UP T IT WITH A 6.1 SURROUND SOUND RECIEVER, WILL EVENTUALLY GET 7.1 HD THOUGH. THANKS ALOT

i tried those settings and it made my tv look less vibrant, dark, and almost colorless. After messing around and adjusting everything, (the tv u recomended didnt have half the features mine does) this is what i came up with: picture mode-vivid, backlit-4, picture-72, brightness-46, color-57, hue-r2, color temp-nuetral, sharpness-30, noise reduc-off, mpeg noise reduc-off, drc mode-mode1, black corrector-low, advance c.e.-off, gamma-off, clear white-off, color space- wide, live color-high, detail enhancer-off, edge enhancer-off, motion enhancer-standard, cinemotion-auto, x.v. color-auto, rgb dynamic range-auto, there are other adjustments like game mode, photos, ect... but those are the most important. hope this helps you or others that might have this tv, thanks

I'm not sure I'd go with the vivid setting on any TV but I suppose I could try those settings 'omega posted. However, my real question here is if the 46W4100 is the same TV as the re-badged 52WL135 that I bought from Sam's Club.

Can anyone confirm this before I try Kevin's and Omega's settings?

did the diy calibration. i like it! and satisfied with result. the color result isnt so bad. i tried a couple of settings tweek ask asked me to try the 46 inch mood and it didnt look so good.these are my results if any one would like to try. it wont hurt to hehehe

motion enhancer standard
custom mode
blacklight 5
pic max
brightness 50
color 56
hue r7
color temp warm 2
sharpness 15
noise reduction off
mpeg noise off
advance ce or contrast enhancer high
gamma high
black corrector off
clear white off

some of the special features with the wl or w series like the live color is optional i like this on high

it doesnt matter if u pick custom, vivid, cinema, standard, its just a starting point. i did however get a dvd with the thx optimizer and i bought the glasses. after using it i got these settings: vivid,[starting point] 3, max, 51, 70, g2, nuetral, 30, off, off, off. ive tried every setting i cant possibly imagine it looking better than this.hope you like it let me know if you think you have something better.

also im gona try to get a blu ray with the thx dvd optimizer and see if it makes a difference and il let u know......WORD!
