It is essentially a fine tuning of your entire video system by a qualified trained technician with reference level test equipment. Starting on Friday July 18, and running through Sat July 19, Value Electronics at 108 Garth Road in Scarsdale, NY conducted a flat panel shoot out consisting of six flat panel HDTVs. I was asked to calibrate all the sets and introduce the two sessions by presenting the attendees with information on the different criteria of the shootout, what parameters were measured and why, and field and answer questions.
